Speaking during the inauguration ceremony in Abuja, ADC National Chairman, Senator David Mark, described the exercise as a significant milestone in the party’s growth and institutional strengthening.
According to Mark, the party’s constitution serves as its moral compass and legal backbone, guiding ideology, conduct, internal processes and democratic practices.
“As our party continues to expand in reach and responsibility, it is both necessary and timely to review our constitution to ensure that it reflects present realities, anticipates future challenges and aligns with global best practices,” he said.

He stressed that the review was aimed at strengthening, not altering, the party’s core principles, while promoting clarity, fairness, inclusiveness, accountability and transparency.
Mark charged the committee members to engage widely with party stakeholders, uphold ADC’s founding values and produce a constitution that guarantees internal democracy and unity.
In his acceptance speech, Uwa assured party members that the committee would deliver a tidy and acceptable constitution that would set the ADC apart from other political parties.
