The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its ongoing electronic membership registration exercise to February 8, 2026, and adjusted the dates for its ward congresses and national convention.
This is contained in a statement by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the statement, the decision was taken at the 183rd meeting of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), held on Friday at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
The party disclosed that the extension of the electronic membership registration from the earlier January 31 deadline followed appeals from party stakeholders, aimed at allowing more supporters and members to register and validate their membership on the party’s digital platform.

The NWC also approved February 18, 2026, as the new date for the party’s ward congresses, while the APC National Convention has been rescheduled to hold from March 27 to March 28, 2026.
However, the party disclosed that Osun State, Ekiti State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have been excluded from the scheduled congresses due to forthcoming elections. Rivers State was also excluded, owing to the subsisting tenure of the current executive committees in the state.
In addition, the NWC constituted a National Convention Planning Committee to oversee preparations for the convention.
The APC said further details regarding the revised congress and convention timetable, as well as the full composition of the National Convention Planning Committee, will be announced in due course.
