• Declares Support for President Tinubu’s Re-election
The Ilorin Emirate Youth Assembly has endorsed Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki as its preferred candidate for the 2027 Kwara State governorship election, urging members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and residents of the state to rally behind his emergence.
In a statement issued on Thursday, which was jointly signed by the Coordinator of the Assembly, Hon. Ayuba Olomogbona, and the Secretary, Hon. Lateef Oloyin, the group, comprising APC youth stakeholders from Asa, Ilorin West, Ilorin East, and Ilorin South Local Government Areas, said its decision followed a comprehensive review of all aspirants and their contributions to the development of Kwara Central and the state at large.
The group noted that its assessment was guided by the leadership benchmarks set by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, whose administration it said has recorded significant strides in governance and development.
According to the statement, Ambassador Yahaya Seriki’s track record in youth empowerment, job creation, and inclusive leadership positions him as a strong contender capable of sustaining and advancing the progress achieved in the state.

The group also used the opportunity to reaffirm its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, calling on Nigerians to back his re-election bid to ensure continuity in the country’s development agenda.
