The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Kwara South Senatorial District, Prince Lekan Adewoye, has pledged to run an inclusive administration and remain accessible to constituents if elected.
Adewoye made the commitment while speaking at a leadership development roundtable organised by the Kwara Tabloid, where he highlighted his contributions to the development of the senatorial district despite not currently holding any elective or public office.
He disclosed that he had committed about ₦10 million to supporting efforts to tackle insecurity across Kwara South, which has faced security challenges involving banditry and other criminal activities in recent months.
According to him, his interventions have focused on education, healthcare, economic empowerment and security.
Adewoye said he had contributed to education by providing scholarships and other forms of support to indigenes of Kwara South from the primary school level to the university, as well as providing JAMB forms to students.
He also mentioned his support for medical outreaches, provision of equipment to artisans, and assistance to businesses and cooperative groups across the seven local government areas in the senatorial district.
Speaking on his plans for young people, the APC candidate highlighted an initiative he called the “Applied Business Challenge,” designed to help youths bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical business solutions.
He explained that the initiative would provide young people with opportunities to develop their ideas, gain practical experience and turn their skills into productive ventures.
Adewoye further assured the people of Kwara South that, if elected, he would operate an open and inclusive administration where constituents would have direct access to their representative.
He said his goal was to ensure that the voices, concerns and aspirations of the people remained central to his representation.
He maintained that his past interventions and proposed programmes were aimed at addressing immediate challenges while creating sustainable opportunities for development and economic empowerment across Kwara South.
