The Wakilin of Ilorin Emirate and Chairman of Crystal Group of Companies, Hon. Mashood Mustapha (MM), has strongly condemned the brutal attack on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, describing it as a senseless carnage that must not be allowed to persist in the state.
In a statement he personally signed which was released to the press on Wednesday evening, Hon. MM decried the brutal attack and called for decisive action against those responsible for the heinous act.
According to him, the assault on innocent residents of Woro community by armed bandits is a grave threat to peace and security and must be confronted head-on.
“It is deeply disheartening to hear about the attack on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government of Kwara State by daredevil bandits. The onslaught on innocent citizens is nothing short of a carnage, and all those involved in this deadly act must be brought to justice,” he said.

Hon. MM noted that the disturbing images from the scene serve as a stark warning of the consequences of inaction.
“The gory images from the scene are a painful reminder that if decisive steps are not taken against these inhumane criminals, such attacks will continue to fester, and our communities may cease to exist.”
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the victims and residents of Woro community, stressing that while lives lost cannot be replaced, justice must be served.
“My heart goes out to the good people of Woro community. No amount of words or tears can bring back the dead, but ensuring that the perpetrators are brought to book will offer some measure of justice, even in the afterlife. We owe them that much.”
The Statesman urged security agencies to intensify their efforts to flush out criminal elements and ensure the rescue of abducted victims.
“I call on our gallant security operatives to review and step up their strategies to eliminate these criminals once and for all, and to facilitate the immediate rescue of those kidnapped.”
He also appealed to community leaders and residents to remain vigilant and proactive in supporting security efforts.
“This is a time for heightened security consciousness. Community leaders and citizens must be alert and report any strange movements or suspicious activities to security agencies so that threats can be neutralised before they escalate.”
Hon. MM concluded with prayers for the departed and for divine intervention against insecurity.
“May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may Allah expose and bring to justice the perpetrators of these acts of insecurity ravaging our communities.”
