
Comrade Mashood Lanre Osho’s book launch and award ceremony has come and gone but the resounding success of the event won’t be forgotten in a hurry.
Aside from unveiling the masterpiece titled: “The Voice of Change: A Call for Transparency and Accountability, Lessons from August Protests in Nigeria”, Mashood Lanre Osho deemed it fit to honour distinguished personalities who have made tremendous contributions to Literacy and Youth Empowerment in Kwara State.
Some of the awardees are: Hon. Mashood Mustapha (MM), the Chairman of Crystal Group of Companies; Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi, a Board Member of TETFUND; Mr. Tunde Bakare, CEO of Kwara Tabloid; Madam Jibore, CEO of Jibore Foundation; QS Okunlola Kayode, Chairman, Board of Trustees, MOK Foundation; and Dr. Lanre Shittu, Chairman, HMA Medical Limited.
Other awardees include Alhaji Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal, 2023 SDP Gubernatorial Candidate, Kwara State; Professor Abdulateef Alagbonsi LLB, Founder and Coordinator, ENetSuD; Barr. Abdulkareem Alabi, Senior Legislative Assistant to Senator Saliu Mustapha; Hon. Yinka Aluko, Honourable Representing Ilorin East and South Federal Constituency; Comrade ISSA Aremu mni, Director-General, Michael Imoudu Institute for Labour Studies; Professor Ali Babatunde Ahmad, 8th Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly; SP Ajayi Okasanmi (RTD), Former Kwara State Police PRO; Hon. Jamui Suleiman Sakele, APC 2023 Kwara House of Assembly Aspirant; and Comrade Abdulateef Isowo, Nigeria Public Policy Analyst, amongst other eminent personalities.
Mashood Lanre Osho is a renowned Kwara-based human rights activist and an advocate of good governance. His newly launched book gives an insight into the August protests in Nigeria and its implications on the government and citizenry.
The Chief Launcher of the occasion, Hon. Mashood Mustapha, a Kwara-born businessman and politician, launched the book with the sum of N1 million. Other distinguished personalities at the event also gave huge donations to launch the masterpiece.
