Fulani leaders, including the President of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Kwara State chapter, have been arrested by security operatives over alleged involvement in kidnapping and the sponsorship of armed bandit groups.
The Kwara State Police Command disclosed the arrests in a statement posted on its official WhatsApp platform on Tuesday night, accompanied by photographs of three of the suspects.
According to the police, the arrests were based on security intelligence reports.
Investigators alleged that the Miyetti Allah leader admitted to providing support for multiple kidnapping operations linked to armed bandit groups.
