Former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has disassociated himself from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition.
Saraki made his stand known while addressing his supporters in a strategic meeting which took place at the GRA Ilorin residence on Tuesday.
The chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reiterated the unity and strength of the party at both state and national levels, while strongly denying any link between himself and the party with a political coalition.
He said, “I am here as a democrat whose people have asked to clarify a number of issues about the party. You have all been observing what’s happening at the national level, and I owe you the responsibility to come down and explain.
“You’re also aware of the innuendo surrounding my involvement in certain developments. I believe it’s important for you to hear the truth from the horse’s mouth”.
Saraki made it clear that he never directed any PDP member to align with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) or any other coalition, maintaining that the PDP remains solid and undivided.
