
The Publisher of 9japarrot Digital Media and Communications, Saeed Tijjani, has been honored with the prestigious YODECO Digital Media Influencer of the Year Award.
The award ceremony, held on Wednesday at the Kwara State Banquet Hall, attracted top figures across Kwara State’s political, professional, and media circles, highlighting excellence and impact across sectors.
A graduate of Ahmadu Bello University and an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Tijjani emerged winner after a competitive public voting process conducted via the YODECO portal.
He was recognized alongside other notable personalities, including Amina Ahmed El-Imam, who won Most Active Political Appointee; Abdulquawiy Abdulganiyu Olododo, honored for infrastructure excellence; and Garba Lukman Olayinka Agbelere, named Most Performing Local Government Chairman of the Year.

Widely regarded for his innovative and strategic approach to media, Tijjani has grown 9japarrot into a leading digital platform for news, political analysis, and youth engagement. His professional journey spans digital journalism, media strategy, and public relations, and he currently serves in the Corporate Affairs Department of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation, North Central office.
According to the YODECO Award Committee, Tijjani was selected for his contributions to digital journalism innovation, his role in fostering political awareness through credible reporting and opinion polls, and his commitment to inspiring leadership among young Nigerians. His adherence to professional standards as a member of the NIPR and ongoing postgraduate studies at the International Institute of Journalism were also cited as key factors.
Presenting the award, YODECO Chairman, Abdulkadir Alausa, noted that the initiative is designed to promote civic responsibility among youths while celebrating individuals who lead by example.
“The public, by voting for you, deemed you worthy of this honour. Your contributions to the digital media space are both impactful and inspiring,” he said.
In his acceptance speech, Tijjani expressed appreciation to supporters and the YODECO team, reaffirming his commitment to using 9japarrot as a platform for positive social change and a bridge between the government and the people.
Described by colleagues as a “change agent,” Tijjani continues to champion a people-focused media approach—one that promotes transparency, accountability, and community development.
