The Association of Licenced Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSPN), Kwara State Chapter, has commended the Kwara State Government under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for its sustained efforts in tackling insecurity across the state.
The commendation was made during a media parley between the Chairman of the Association, Dr. Samuel Yusuf Bola, and journalists in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
ALPSPN acknowledged several proactive measures introduced by the state government, including the increased deployment of security personnel, improved funding and support for security agencies, as well as the promotion of community policing initiatives aimed at strengthening grassroots security.
While applauding these efforts, the Association expressed concern over lingering security threats such as banditry, kidnapping, and petty crimes, noting that they continue to pose serious challenges to the safety of residents and the socio-economic development of the state.
The Association therefore called for enhanced collaboration between the government and private security operators through the establishment of a robust Public-Private Security Partnership framework. It also urged federal security agencies to intensify intelligence-driven operations across vulnerable communities.
