Today, I join family, friends, associates and the good people of Ilorin South Local Government to celebrate a remarkable leader and a man dedicated to serving his people, Hon. Nuhu Majeed Podo, on the occasion of his birthday.
Sir, your two years in office have been a period of visible efforts and meaningful interventions across the 11 wards of Ilorin South. From education and security to roads, electricity, water supply and other areas that directly affect the people, your administration has continued to make its presence felt at the grassroots.
The employment of additional security personnel, provision of motorcycles for community surveillance, support for the Civil Defence, renovation of schools, provision of educational materials, construction of the Mutawalli of Ilorin Hall, scholarships for students, provision of transformers, rehabilitation of boreholes and improvement of rural roads are among the initiatives that have touched lives across the local government.
Beyond the projects and achievements, leadership is also about being available, listening to the people and responding to their needs. Your time in office has provided another opportunity to demonstrate the importance of grassroots leadership and service.
As you mark another year today, I pray that Allah SWT grants you long life, good health, wisdom and abundant blessings. May He continue to guide your steps, strengthen you in the discharge of your responsibilities and grant you greater opportunities to serve humanity.
May this new chapter of your life bring you peace, happiness, success and greater achievements.
Happy Birthday, Hon. Nuhu Majeed Podo. May Allah continue to bless you and your family. Ameen.
