The Wakilin of Ilorin Emirate and prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Hon. Mashood Mustapha (MM), has congratulated Muslims in Kwara State, across Nigeria, and around the world on the celebration of Eid al-Adha.
In his Eid message, the former federal lawmaker described the sacred festival as a season of devotion, sacrifice, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the values of faith, unity, and compassion.
Hon. MM paid glowing tribute to the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR, praising his leadership and dedication to peace, Islamic scholarship, and the preservation of the rich cultural heritage of the Ilorin Emirate.
According to him, the Emir remains a symbol of wisdom, humility, and service to humanity. He prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, good health, and long life for the revered monarch.
The PDP stalwart also extended Eid greetings to party members, the people of Ilorin Emirate, and Muslims across the country and in the diaspora, praying for peace, healing, and prosperity in every home.
Hon. MM noted that Eid al-Adha goes beyond the symbolic sacrifice of animals, stressing that the season teaches obedience to Allah, selflessness, generosity, and care for the less privileged.
He urged Muslims to embrace the deeper lessons of patience, compassion, and solidarity, especially at a time of economic hardship and insecurity in the country.
He further called on Kwarans to use the occasion to support one another, reconcile differences, and work collectively for the peace, unity, and progress of Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole.
