The Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSPN), Kwara State Chapter, has called for an enlarged Security Stakeholders’ Summit aimed at developing a sustainable security roadmap to address the growing challenges of insecurity in Kwara State and across Nigeria.
The call was made in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Chairman of the Association, Dr. Samuel Yusuf Bola.
According to Dr. Yusuf, security remains a collective responsibility, stressing that a safe and secure Kwara State is essential for economic growth, social stability, and the attraction of investors to critical sectors of the state’s economy.
The statement reads:
“The leadership and members of the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSPN), Kwara State Chapter, are calling on the Kwara State Government, security agencies, political leaders, business owners, traditional institutions, community leaders, and other critical stakeholders to convene a comprehensive Security Summit where practical and actionable strategies can be developed to strengthen security across the state.
“The rising wave of insecurity in Kwara State and other parts of the country is a matter of serious concern. However, it is not an insurmountable challenge. Through collaboration, intelligence sharing, proactive measures, and community participation, we can effectively confront and overcome these threats.
“This is not the time for blame games. It is a time for decisive action, collective responsibility, and strategic engagement. As an Association, ALPSPN is prepared to champion this initiative in the interest of peace, safety, and development.
“With the support of the Kwara State Government and other distinguished stakeholders, we are confident that Kwara can become a model of security and stability once again.”
Signed:
Dr. Samuel Yusuf Bola
