It was a moment of joy, pride, and celebration as US-based Kwara entrepreneur, Prince Chief Jude Babajide Kayode Rotimi, popularly known as St. Jude, hosted family, friends, former schoolmates, and distinguished guests at a grand gathering held at STJ Family Homes, Ilorin, in honour of his recent chieftaincy titles.
Prince Chief Jude Babajide Kayode Rotimi was conferred with the honorary Chieftaincy title of Bobatunwase of Ikotun-Ile in 2024 by His Royal Majesty, Oba David Ajibola Omope, Ilufemiloye I, the Obadofin of Ikotun-Ile, Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State, in recognition of his remarkable contributions to community development and philanthropy.
In a further recognition of his service and impact, he was also honoured in 2025 with the Chieftaincy title of Tobase of Odo-Owa by His Royal Majesty, Oba Joshua Oluwatoba Adegbuyi, the Olota of Odo-Owa.
To celebrate these prestigious honours, St. Jude hosted an intimate but colourful reception at STJ Family Homes, located at House 1, St. Jude Close, Off Airport Road, Odota, Ilorin. The event coincided with the Annual General Meeting of the Oro Grammar School (OGS) Class of 1980, bringing together old classmates, associates, and well-wishers from across Nigeria and the diaspora.
The gathering provided an opportunity for attendees to celebrate a man widely admired for his generosity, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of his community.
Among the distinguished guests present were Engr. Amos Ajanaku, President of the Association of Hotel Owners in Kwara State; Chief Raheem Adedoyin, the Oloriewe of Oro Kingdom; Mr. Tunde Bakare, Publisher of Kwara Tabloid Offline and Online; Alhaji Salam, former President of the Kwara State Association of Nigerians in North America (KSANG); Professor Odetunde; Alhaji T. Salau from Texas, USA; Mr. Tajudeen Adeyeye, Director of Nodrot Hotel, Ilorin; Uncle Jide, a retired airline professional based in Texas; Engr. Babatunde Ayinde, former IEDPU President of the USA Branch; Uncle Jide Adebayo, and several other notable personalities.
Guests took turns to congratulate St. Jude, describing the dual Chieftaincy honours as a fitting recognition of his years of dedication to humanity, community service, and the advancement of his hometown and beyond.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement, laughter, and nostalgia as former classmates reunited, shared memories, and paid glowing tributes to a man whose achievements continue to inspire many both at home and abroad.
